Voice Command uses Microsoft's speech recognition engine to recognize your voice. Depending on the Windows platform and other software installed, the status of your computer for speech recognition likely follows one of 3 possible scenarios: 1. The speech recognition engine is already installed. There is a chance that the speech recognition engine is already installed on your computer. To check if your system is already enabled for speech recognition:
Speech recognition is built-in to the Windows Vista operating system. No further action is required. 2. The speech recognition engine is on your computer but not installed (non-Vista platforms only). If your computer has Microsoft Office installed, depending on the version, you may be able to install speech recognition from Microsoft Word:
3. The speech recognition engine is not on your computer (non-Vista platforms only). The speech recognition engine is included on the Guitar Guru product CD. If you do not have a CD, you can download the free speech recognition engine for Guitar Guru from Musicnotes.com. Installing the speech recognition engine from CD To install the speech recognition engine from CD, insert your Guitar Guru product CD into your CD-ROM drive, click on the button below, and follow the instructions in the installation program. Note that you may need to move this help window and/or minimize Guitar Guru in order to see the speech engine setup program.
