Guitar Guru provides two different modes for playing music:
| • | Guitar Player Mode. This mode is used to play Guitar Guru Sessions. In Guitar Player mode a fingerboard is displayed showing a simulation of the guitar performance in sync with the music. For the audio you can choose MIDI, or use your own CD or DAF. |
| • | CD Player Mode. In CD Player mode you can play any audio CD and take advantage of the standard features of Guitar Guru such as slowing down the tempo, setting specific start/stop points, and looping continuously. A fingerboard is not displayed in CD Player mode. |
