·  “Broke Christmas” by Lauren Spencer-Smith: A short but relatable Christmas single, Lauren Spencer-Smith tells us that with all the gifts and special things to buy, it’s very easy to become broke around this time of year. Rock out to the energetic bass line and the rhythmic accompaniment of your new favorite Christmas anthem!

·  “Leave a Light On” by Papa Roach: From their recent album Ego Trip, rock band Papa Roach brings us an emotional but also hopeful song that is currently being used as a fundraiser and a PSA for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. The lyrics tell us that when times are hard and you’re in a dark place, you’re never alone. Someone will be there for you, and the lyrics repeat that "I'll leave a light on for you." The song begins with simple guitar strumming and gradually builds into a meaningful rock ballad.

·  “Sweet Sounds of Heaven” by The Rolling Stones: This is the second single from the recently released album Hackney Diamonds, featuring Lady Gaga on backup vocals and Stevie Wonder on piano. It has a slow blues rock feel, and Lady Gaga adds gospel flair to her backup vocals. This arrangement is a great example of the variety of chord charts we have to offer on our site. Chord charts give you the freedom to create your own accompaniment on piano, guitar, or for your whole band! Click here to check out our full selection.

·  “Cruel Summer” by Chrissy Ricker: Recently a big hit on Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, this piano solo arrangement by Signature Artist Chrissy Ricker is a great option for intermediate players. It focuses on playing in the key of A Major as well as octave jumps in the left hand, especially at the beginning. Once you’re comfortable with the piano part, sing along to this catchy pop tune!

·  “Five Nights at Freddy's” by Jon Pumper: From the recently released movie adaptation of Five Nights at Freddy’s, the main theme sets the mood for the scary movie based off the video game series. This piano solo arrangement by Signature Artist Jon Pumper begins with soft broken minor chords and gradually builds into the main theme. Watch out for the moving arpeggios in the left hand, and enjoy playing this creepy melody!

·  “Immaterial” by Patrik Pietschmann: Signature Artist Patrik Pietschmann brings us an original composition that was created to focus on the immaterial experiences in life. We’re brought up to do well in school in order to get a job that makes us a lot of money to spend on material things, but that’s not what’s important. It’s about finding the inner moments of joy. This advanced arrangement features driving sixteenth note and triplet patterns. Bring out the main melody throughout, and practice this large piece one section at a time.

Bonus Song of the Week

Be sure to focus on the pedaling and phrasing of this solo, which is perfect for a variety of special occasions, especially weddings.
