·  “Santa Baby” by Lauren Spencer-Smith: A Christmas classic originally made famous by Eartha Kitt, Lauren Spencer-Smith puts her own spin on it with an unexpected jazz arrangement. The track is a more intimate arrangement from the singer with only piano and bass guitar as accompaniment. Enjoy playing the interesting jazz chords, and once you’ve mastered that, sing along to this holiday tune!

·  “Strangers” by Kenya Grace: Kenya Grace’s recent major label debut, this song has reached number one in the UK, and it’s becoming a top ten hit in many other countries. The lyrics focus on meeting people during online dating; you feel you make a connection with someone, and then the person ghosts you! This is a more electronic song, so try to play the piano part on a synthesizer with some drum beats.

·  “Christmas Jazz Suite” by Jacob Koller: This challenging jazzy arrangement from Signature Artist Jacob Koller includes classic favorites like “O Christmas Tree,” “Jingle Bells,” “Angels We Have Heard on High,” and more! Each song has its own jazz style, so focus on mastering one song at a time. This suite is a great option for gigging musicians, your upcoming holiday party, or for yourself at home by the Christmas tree.

·  “You Are the Reason (Wedding Version)” by Paul Hankinson: Originally a big hit for Calum Scott in 2017, this song is a favorite pick for weddings. This violin and piano arrangement by Signature Artist Paul Hankinson incorporates elements of Schubert's “Ave Maria” as well as Pachelbel's “Canon in D.” Both instrumental parts take turns playing each melody, so be sure to bring out those important parts. This is the perfect arrangement for your winter wedding!

·  “All I Want for Christmas Is You” by Sheet Music Boss: A blockbuster Christmas hit originally by Mariah Carey, this song has been given a new spin by Signature Artist Sheet Music Boss. This interesting jazz arrangement has a piano bar or lounge feel with swinging eighths and flowing triplets. Be sure to focus on nailing the big jazz chords, and enjoy playing this unique piece to ring in the holiday season!

·  “Maybe It Starts with Me” from Mr. Saturday Night: From the musical starring Billy Crystal, Mr. Saturday Night is based on the 1990s movie of the same name, and it’s about a comedian named Buddy that’s attempting to take a second chance at fame. This song is performed by Buddy’s adult daughter Susan. She’s had a troubled relationship with her dad, and she realizes that perhaps she needs to be the one to move on and have a fresh start. Unique Pick of the Week

·  “Devil in Her Heart” by Tony Rowden: Based on the version recorded by The Beatles, this song was originally recorded by The Donays with the song title “Devil in His Heart.” It’s a simple but catchy pop song about a girl that might be a heartbreaker, and Signature Artist Tony Rowden creates his own guitar fingerstyle arrangement. Enjoy playing this lesser-known but accessible piece from The Beatles.
