A leader in the late 90's pop movement, Britney Spears met a quick rise to stardom with her debut album (and single of the same name), "...Baby One More Time." Followed with a series of hit singles from this and subsequent records, it wasn't long before Ms. Spears had risen to a level of popularity crowning her the queen of the pop movement.
Upon the release of her third album, Britney Spears (now known simply as 'Britney') fully shed her good-girl image with the sultry dancefloor hit, "I'm a Slave 4 U" which was followed by the Dido-penned coming-of-age theme, "I'm Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman." It wasn't until her fourth and latest release, "In the Zone" that Britney moved almost completely beyond the more tame pop numbers that first
gained her notoriety, this time opting to create an all-out dancefloor onslaught with the help of friends Madonna and The Ying Yang Twins. Still, the album's biggest success was found in the light piano theme, "Everytime," which found Britney at her most vulnerable and honest point yet.
