Madison, WI – February 14, 2007 - Musicnotes, Inc., the market leader in downloadable sheet music, announced today that 2006 sales increased 45% to more than $5.5 million. Musicnotes sold almost 850,000 downloads in 2006 and added 250,000 new customers.

The New Year has also started strong for Musicnotes. Year-to-date sales are up almost 50% with over 125,000 downloads already sold through mid-February. Recent highlights include music from the new Evanescence album The Open Door as well as music from several movies, including Music and Lyrics, opening in theaters today.

“The online music market is surging as musicians and music publishers continue to discover the clear advantages of downloadable sheet music,” said Kathleen Marsh, Musicnotes CEO. “Musicnotes continues to expand its online catalog with additional content and expects to announce licensing agreements with several additional music publishers in 2007.”

Musicnotes also posted its first full year operating profit in 2006. “It was a real milestone for us to record an operating profit last year,” said Tim Reiland, Musicnotes Chairman and CFO. “Musicnotes is in solid financial shape and well-positioned to pursue numerous growth opportunities in 2007 and beyond.”
