MADISON, WI - August 4, 2006 - The online leader in digital sheet music, Musicnotes.com, announced today that downloads of Christian sheet music from its website have more than doubled in recent months. For the month of July, Musicnotes sold a record 12,500 Christian downloads, an increase of 125% from July of 2005. Most of Musicnotes downloads sell in the $4-6 range.

“July Christian sales really surprised us,” said Tim Reiland, Musicnotes’ Chairman and CFO. “This is actually our slowest time of the year, so we look forward to the fall and winter months with a lot of excitement.”

The Christian category, which includes Contemporary Christian, Gospel, Praise & Worship and other genres, represents the fastest growing segment of Musicnotes’ business. A year ago Musicnotes announced a content and distribution relationship with Word Music, which turned out to be a watershed event. Musicnotes also has content deals with EMI Christian, Brentwood-Benson, Integrity Music, Maranatha!, Oregon Catholic Press and several others.

“Musicnotes.com receives over 50,000 unique visitors a day and has a market share of nearly 70% of the digital sheet music market,” Reiland stated. “We will continue to work with Christian publishers and songwriters to extend the reach of their beautiful and inspirational music.”
