The Streets of Dublin from A Man of No Importance - Digital Sheet Music
Based on the 1994 Albert Finney movie of the same name, A Man of No Importance tells the tender story of Alfie Byrne a bus driver living in 1960's Dublin. A passionate fan of Oscar Wilde, Alfie is determined to stage a version of Salome at his church, despite the objections of church authorities. In the process of fighting for the play, Alfie is finally forced to confront his own sexuality and take a stand in the world.

The show was part of the Lincoln Center Theater 2002-3 season, and ran from Sept. 12-Dec. 29, 2002. It was awarded the 2003 Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Off-Broadway Musical.

A cast album was recorded on Dec.16, 2002, released in April 2003.

Great piece with irish flair

I remember first hearing this piece at NATS, and fell in love with it! The arranger has done a good job of carrying out the feeling and emotion that this piece deserves. The only downside is that the arrangement doesn't allow for much leeway from the singer.
