Right intervals, wrong key

I wanted to use this song for an audition, and was thrilled to find the sheet music for this song sold for digital download individually. HOWEVER, after listening to and observing it, and comparing it to what I hear the J. Pierrepont Finch-es of days old sing, (Robert Morse, Matthew Broderick, Daniel Radcliffe) it was clear that THE ORIGINAL KEY IS NOT CORRECT. It should be in C major, not G major, and the highest note is a G5 (written, sounded as a G4 when sung an octave down as men typically do when reading the treble clef.) So change the key and have fun, if you want to sing a-long with those guys. Break a leg, Ponty!

I Believe In you

This standard/classic piece, originally defined by entertainer Robert Morse, will always present challenges to the vocalist in terms of tempo, mood and range. There is simply no correct or even preferred way to render this charming piece of humorous self introspection. The options offered by MusicNotes are all helpful.
