2022 Billboard Music Awards: Nominees and Winners

The 2022 Billboard Music Awards was an eventful night, full of great music and incredible artists. Sean “Diddy” Combs hosted the show at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

The first award given out at the show was Top R&B Artist, which was given to Doja Cat. She also went on to win three additional awards, like Top R&B Album for Planet Her. Drake won five awards, which included Top Artist, Top Rap Artist, and more. BTS took home the most awards for any group or duo, ending the night with three. And Olivia Rodrigo secured seven Billboard awards, including Top New Artist and Top Hot 100 Artist.

Of course, the BBMAs had to feature some incredible performances too! We got to see a variety of artists, including Silk Sonic, Florence + The Machine, Megan Thee Stallion, Dan + Shay, and more.

One of the big honors of the night was the Billboard Icon Award. Janet Jackson presented the prestigious award to this year’s winner, Mary J. Blige.
