2022 MTV Video Music Awards: Nominees & Winners

The MTV Video Awards took place on August 28, and featured co-hosts Jack Harlow, LL Cool J, and Nicki Minaj.

The night honored some of the best music videos of the year, plus there were incredible performances from artists like BLACKPINK, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Lizzo, Bad Bunny, and more.

One of the show’s big winners was Taylor Swift, who took home the awards for Video of the Year, Best Long Form Video, and Best Direction. She also took a few moments on stage to announce a brand new album coming on October 21, titled Midnights.

Looking at some of the other awards, Bad Bunny won Artist of the Year, BTS earned the title of Group of the Year, and Dove Cameron was named Best New Artist. Additionally, Nicki Minaj was given the Video Vanguard Award, and Red Hot Chili Peppers received the Glocal Icon Award.

Billie Eilish won Song of the Year for “Happier Than Ever”, while Harry’s House earned Harry Styles the award for Album of the Year.
