2023 MTV Video Music Awards: Nominees & Winners

The 2023 MTV Video Music Awards took place on September 12 at the Prudential Center in New Jersey.

Some of today's biggest names in music came to the event, with performances from artists like Olivia Rodrigo, Fall Out Boy, Cardi B & Megan The Stallion, Demi Lovato, and more! There was also an exciting performance to commemorate the 50th anniversary of hip-hop, which featured a variety of artists, including LL Cool J, Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, and Nicki Minaj.

Taylor Swift came into the night with 11 nominations and walked away with nine wins, including Artist of the Year and Video of the Year. As a fun surprise, the members of 'N SYNC reunited on stage and presented Taylor with one of her awards. The award for Best New Artist went to Ice Spice, while Lana Del Rey and Jon Batiste's song "Candy Necklace" earned the title of Best Alternative.

Plus, Diddy accepted the Global Icon Award, while Shakira was given the Video Vanguard Award.
