Introducing our Co-Host, Jillian Shively! Jillian works for Musicnotes as our Content and Production Assistant. She graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a degree in Music Composition and Film Scoring, and a certification in Music Technology and Production. Born and raised in Colorado, Jillian has been performing and writing music since elementary school. She has received three DownBeat awards for vocal Jazz performance and has earned opportunities to perform with several notable musicians, including Sarah Brightman (of Phantom of the Opera) and Larry Braggs (of Tower of Power). Now having moved to Nashville, she continues to pursue her passions of teaching, composing, and performing music! In this episode, Jillian discusses her musical background, experience performing, and majoring in music.
