In honor of Musicnotes’ 20 years, we want to bring attention to those who foster a love for music through education and outreach. Learn about three incredible music charities, and help us choose which will receive a donation of up to $5000 during the month of August.
Musicnotes will donate a portion of $5000 to the three charities listed below and will distribute a percentage of the money based on the percentage of the votes acquired with no less than $500 going to a single charity. Voting closes at 23:59 CDT on Aug 31st, 2018.
The Results Are In!
We want to thank everyone who took part in our charitable giving poll, and we’re excited to announce the results! With 50% of the vote, Hungry for Music has taken the top prize and will receive $2,500 to support their work! Music for Relief and Give a Note Foundation will each receive donations of $1,250.
Each of these organizations do incredible work to support music around the world, and the spirit of their generosity is reflected in the music of those whose lives it has touched. We will continue to follow their efforts, and be thankful for the more generous, music-filled world their work creates.
Give a Note brings together business leaders, policy makers and community activists to nurture music programs in schools around the United States. They help raise awareness of the importance of music education to nurture, grow and strengthen music education opportunities.
Founded by the members of Linkin Park and funded by artist/musician partners, Music for Relief leverages music’s unifying power to bring relief in the wake of a disaster. They respond to natural disasters across the world providing immediate relief and funding long-term recovery with a focus on sustainability.
Hungry for Music has been extending the life-changing gift of music to communities in need since 1994. Their mission is to put quality musical instruments into the hands of children who would not otherwise have the opportunity. Hungry for Music has delivered more than 11,000 instruments to children in 49 states and 25 countries.
