Choir Crossword

A choir (interchangeably known as a chorus or chorale) is an ensemble of singers who may perform a repertoire of classical music (from the medieval period to current day) or popular music. A conductor generally leads the choir using hand, arm, and facial gestures. The ensemble may perform a capella (without instruments) or with a musical accompaniment, possibly a piano, organ, orchestra, or smaller instrumental ensemble. Most choirs include four sections arranged for singing in four-part harmony. However, the number of parts is limited only by the singers available for each part. If you are or were a choir member, you will enjoy this music crossword puzzle. Musical Instruments

While historians don’t know exactly when or how the first instrument was constructed, there is evidence of ancient flutes crafted from animal bones dating back over 37,000 years. So we know they have been around for a long while with a number of purposes: for entertainment, communication, as part of a religious ritual, and much more.Instruments come in numerous sizes and shapes to create distinctive sounds. Modern day instruments can be divided into five main categories: brass, keyboards, percussion, strings, and woodwinds. Brass instruments use mouthpieces, valves, and buzzing human lips to create their sound. Keyboards use keys to trigger a sound mechanism, including strings, piped air, or electricity. Percussion instruments create pitched or unpitched sound by scraping, shaking, or striking with a mallet, hand, or other striking method. Stringed instruments include a hollowed sound box with strings attached that can be bowed, plucked, or strummed. Woodwind instruments use air to create vibration either across the top of the instrument or against a reed, and holes in the instrument are used to change the notes that are played. We couldn’t get all of the musical instruments on this puzzle, or it would have been 20 pages long!
