'The Tortured Poets Department': New Album and Sheet Music from Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift released her highly anticipated album The Tortured Poets Department on April 19. This double album consists of 16 songs originally announced for the album, and a surprise 15 songs on The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology. The large musical work delves into personal stories from Taylor's life and gives the listener an inside look into the pop sensation's perspective.

On this album, Taylor collaborated with Post Malone on the song "Fortnight" and with Florence + The Machine on the song "Florida!!!". Her other cowriters on the album were Jack Antonoff, Aaron Dessner, and Patrik Berger.

Taylor shared that this album is "an anthology of new works that reflect events, opinions and sentiments from a fleeting and fatalistic moment in time" and that "Once we have spoken our saddest story, we can be free of it. And then all that’s left behind is the tortured poetry."
