Star Wars Piano Arrangements For Every Level

Happy Star Wars Day!

May the 4th be with you!

To help Star Wars fans celebrate this special day, we’ve found the best Star Wars piano arrangements for every level of pianist.

Whether you’re just getting started on your piano journey or you’re a piano pro, we’ve found all of the best Star Wars piano arrangements that Musicnotes has to offer at every level.

Beginner Notes

If you’re pretty new to playing the piano, you’ll want to check out Beginner Notes arrangements.

These arrangements are in lead sheet format, which means that you’ll see a melody line notated in the treble clef with chord symbols noted above the staff.

When you’re reading a lead sheet at the piano, your right hand will play the melody notes and your left hand can add chords, octaves or single bass notes lower on the piano, using the chord symbols as cues.

Of course, you could leave the left hand out entirely and just enjoy working with the melody in the right hand. A lot of times it’s really satisfying to hear that familiar melody and practice reading notes focusing on just one hand.

One of the nice things about Beginner Notes arrangements is that they are really easy to read. The notation is big and the note names are actually listed on each note so you won’t have to spend too much time hunting around for notes.

You can find all of our Star Wars Beginner Notes arrangements here.

Or, you can go straight to your favorite Star Wars song:

Easy

These easy piano arrangements are great for pianists who are just starting to get comfortable reading music notation. You can expect a fairly small range of notes so that your hands don’t have to travel around the piano too much.

John Brimhall spent his lifetime helping people learn the piano. You can count on his arrangements to be accessible to new piano players. Here are a couple of his arrangements that you might enjoy.

Chrissy Ricker is a current composer and piano arranger who has a gift for arranging music for piano students of any level. Be sure to try out some of her arrangements:

Philip Keveren is another excellent arranger to keep an eye out for. His arrangements are always very tastefully written. If they’re labeled as “easy piano,” “big note,” or “five finger piano,” you can expect them to be written specifically with beginners in mind.

Intermediate

These arrangements are not as simple as the ones listed above. These are great for pianists who are comfortable playing in many different keys, who know their way around the piano and who are up for a bit of a challenge.

Advanced

If you’re looking for advanced and complex Star Wars arrangements, try some of these options.

If you come across any Philip Keveren arrangements that are labeled as “piano solo” they will likely be fairly advanced. Oftentimes, they include big full chords and complex rhythms that are suitable for advanced players. A handful of his piano solo arrangements are less complex and might suit an intermediate player, but you’ll have to check them out and use your own judgement.

If you’re looking for a larger-scale piece to work on, check out “Star Wars: Fantasy Suite for Piano,” arranged by Jarrod Radnich. It is a medley of several Star Wars themes arranged in a virtuosic style.

Patrik Pietschmann is another advanced piano arranger who has several stunning Star Wars arrangements. Here are some to check out:

Finally, here’s a Star Wars Medley arranged by Sonya Belousova. It includes the Main Theme, Princess Leia’s Theme and The Imperial March.
