Great news for any musicians and artists looking to learn more about how to protect the rights to your music–The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) recently released an online platform called Creators Learn Intellectual Property (CLIP) in collaboration with companies and organizations such as Spotify and Universal Music Group to raise awareness of intellectual property (IP) rights.

This platform, made by creators, for creators, is full of easy-to-use and understandable information on IP in every step of the music creation process, from songwriting to producing to distribution, including videos of established creators' first-hand accounts. It will be available in six languages by the start of 2024 so creators across the world will be able to have information about IP at their fingertips.

So many creators create amazing music, but they don't really understand what's going on in the back offices in the industry. CLIP is here to help all creators understand the basics of the music industry and what they need to know and do to be credited and paid properly.
