Last year, we had the good fortune of meeting up with award-winning songwriter Wyatt Durrette! You may know him from some of the music he’s helped write for other artists (“Chicken Fried” and “Colder Weather” for Zac Brown Band, just to name a few) or from the music he’s performed with his own group, Yesterday’s Wine.

We sat down and talked with Wyatt at Dark Horse Studios in Franklin, TN. He opened up about the ideas and meaning behind the CMA’s Song of the Year, “Beautiful Crazy,” sung by country singer Luke Combs. Wyatt then gave a soulful acoustic performance of his hit song, which you can watch below.
