Sheet Music Boss recommends the Star Wars Theme for more novice piano players. This song is a great beginner piece because it’s very recognizable, so the player knows the way it’s supposed to sound before plucking out the notes. The left and right hands are only responsible for one or two notes at a time, resulting in a melody that fits well under small or apprehensive hands. And finally, this piece is played at a very moderate pace with easy-to-learn rhythms. Mastering this piece will make you far more comfortable with the piano than you were when you started!

“Hakuna Matata” is another tune we all know and love, and this tutorial is excellent for pianists playing at an intermediate level. This entertaining piece introduces different rhythmic patterns (including swing) in the left and right hands and is nicely segmented into sections, which is convenient for learning the song one section at a time. Some sections are more challenging than others, but with practice and isolation, they can be mastered!

“Paradise City” by Guns N’ Roses is a fantastic old-school rock tune, complete with some pretty epic guitar solos. This piano tutorial requires skilled coordination between both hands and a lot of patience, as it will likely require long and careful practice. The tutorial also includes a solo, which can be broken down and learned step-by-step here. Once you’ve mastered this piece–and you can–you can consider yourself a piano expert!
