Just what we needed
I was very impressed with this Pentatonix arrangement and its accuracy to the original recording. It was exactly what my small choral ensemble needed, particularly since a few of them have trouble blending. The simple rhythms and harmonies provided by this arrangement can be very helpful to beginning intermediate choral groups who need more practice in this area. The difficulty level and vocal range allowed me to sing the melody (which is too wide a range for my high schoolers) while my students accompanied--perfect for our goal. However, it should be noted that the syncopated section ("dm dm dm") is a challenge for those students who do not have little to no prior music training. Regardless, it was the perfect ending to our Christmas concert.
