My Dad loves this song, so I went looking for a piano part to play for him for Christmas. Musicnotes had a great version for a good price, which was hard to find elsewhere. The arrangement was somewhat challenging, but manageable with some hard work, and the orchestration of treble and bass together was quite beautiful. Overall, I was quite pleased with this arrangement.

I was pleased to see an arrangement of this piece, which I think is probably the most beautiful of all the music in The Next Generation. I found it to be easy to learn, but was a bit disappointed in the accuracy. It wouldnt be a big problem, except that the parts which are not accurate are the main melody. Its not a big problem, but it is irritating.

This is one of my favorites - a very musical transcription of a beautiful piece of music. Plays very well, requires minimal practice (depending on your skill level), but is great fun to play.

Speaking as both a die hard trek fan who has played the majority of the scores for trek, and as a musician and teacher, this arrangement only touches on the melody - it begins far too low, and deviates so often as to be unrecognizable. The opening instead of haunting and beautiful comes out clunky and disjointed like a Big Note style arrangement. I think I will transcribe and make my own by ear.
