versatility5/26/2012 1:54:25 PMAs flute in a local concert band, I saw "Georgia on My Mind" on our last months selections. Our director chose the exact arrangement you provided here . Needless to say I was thrilled at both the super arrangement you provided as well as the fact that our director wisely chose the same one.

Georgia on My Mind9/9/2014 12:26:02 PMI really like this arrangement because it sounds like the original Ray Charles arrangement. Its bluesy, but not too difficult to play. You can add a bit more if you want. But Im just playing it like it is, and I think it sounds great.

Georgia on My Mind - Solo arrangement9/6/2015 6:31:33 PMThis is an enjoyable arrangement for solo performance. It give you the feel of the original with the vocal part carried nicely by the right hand without feeling forced. I also ordered the original accompaniment and enjoy playing both.

So far, two of my students have studied and mastered the song (including the intricacies of the grace notes, buttery runs, etc.). Great song to introduce more advanced students to jazz and blues!
