Its got a swinging sorta country beat

This song has a serious message -- about rivers of our lives meeting the sea -- but the melody has quite a swing to it - its a waltz, actually - and the music stands on its own. I play it at a nursing home and do not use the lyrics because of the situation of many of the folks there. But they love the tune! It has a hint of old-time gospel.
