Tenor part is really poorly-written, few harmonies
This arrangement is okay. There are a couple moments I really like. The biggest issue is the tenor part, which is written far outside the range of a normal tenor part, especially at the end. In the ending section the tenor part is written higher than the alto part and as high as the soprano part. I am not sure the arranger understood how to write for tenor voices or how bass clef and double treble clef work. The part is written in the stratosphere of the bass clef even in its best moments and is very hard to read, as that would normally be on a treble clef staff instead due to its tessitura (which, again, is well outside the typical tenor range). There are also fewer harmonies than I would have likes; lots and lots of unison. Still, the opening is gorgeous and the chorus is quite nice. I just wish the tenor part made sense as Im going to have to either have women sing it or re-write it.
