Eda And

Eda And is a Turkish-born pianist, composer, and arranger from Izmir. She began classical piano studies with her mother, learned jazz from her double-bassist father. At 17, she composed her first piano concerto, premiered by the Izmir State Symphony Orchestra. A year later, she was invited to Germany as an exceptional young talent and performed her work with the International Youth Symphony Orchestra Bremen. She studied classical and jazz composition at the Hamburg University of Music. Her music has been performed by the NDR Bigband, Izmir State Symphony Orchestra, various jazz ensembles. She has appeared on television shows, on TSF Jazz Radio France, CKIA Quebec Radio Jazz Bazaar, her debut album was covered by All About Jazz USA. She has appeared at major festivals including Elbjazz Hamburg, Izmir European Jazz Festival, and Istanbul International Jazz Festival.
