A Thrill of Hope

This 30-minute production for S.A.B. choir is filled with an array of familiar carols and hymns, all arranged in a wide variety of moods and musical styles to create a riveting re-telling of the Christmas story. As an arranger, my aim was to provide a musical tapestry that is warm and familiar, yet somehow uniquely fresh. To that end, I was delighted to discover that the tunes and lyrics of many of our favorite carols can be combined in surprising, unexpected ways. The scripture, underscore, and thoughtful narration by my pastor, Reverend Rich Davis, transform this work into what I believe will become a truly meaningful Christmas worship experience.
