I am a former Bass player in a variety / wedding band. In the last 3 years, I have worked on the classical guitar. It is a blast learning all the chord forms, and my song list that I now perform is ever growing, and I sing / play mostly standards, but lately have gotten into classic rock. Purchasing Stairway To Heaven, and working very hard on it has been realy fun. This thing is a classic, and I was happy to see Music Notes had a perfect version of this song, I finger-pick everything, and this song is perfect for my style of playing. When I perform this tune, people stop what they are doing, and just listen with delight. When I walk into my local music store, take a guitar off the wall, and play "Stairway" it seems to trump anything else that the other customers are playing. Thats so cool. Everyone needs to add this tune to their play list.

This is the FULL "Madison Square Garden" live version with 6 string acoustic, 12 string acoustic and electric guitar combined. Recently I decided to do away with all of my electric stuff and go acoustic finger style. I picked this song to be my first effort at finger style and I am happy I did. Concerning this arrangement, even though I still lean on TAB a lot, I can read music with some degree of accuracy. I have carefully and meticulously compared this arrangement (both TAB and traditional notation) to many others I found on the internet "and there are plenty" and also compared this arrangement to the original MSG live version and it is spot on. It is well done!

Yes this song is way over played, but its still a Great Song! I used this to learn it the Correct way. Tab is very accurate. Note: You learn music theory from learning cover songs!

A true classic, this seems to follow the album version closely. Im an intermediate guitarist and dont have much trouble with it, its really not too difficult to play. This arrangement has the parts for all the different guitars played on the album, so a little bit of work around is necessary since I play solo acoustic, my next project will be the Rodrigo Gabriela version. Great song and worth trying.
