This profound and fervent selection is powerful, soul stirring, and heartfelt...a must have for piano solo and ensemble performance.
Learning and mastering this selection empowers a pianist/organist and/or ensemble of any combination to exude praise, thanksgiving, and a great sense of accomplishment.
This arrangement is in a simple form, and allows an accomplished pianist/organist to learn this piece with some effort and persistence. The solo and background singer parts are also well arranged...pretty easy to teach solo and background vocal parts. Combine and perform all parts and you get organized powerful praise!

I have been exposed to a few arrangements of "For Every Mountain." This arrangement is vocally similar to others for the soloist. The choir part is mostly similar, too. What soloists need to keep in mind is that this song sounds empty and disinteresting without a choir, particularly in the last half of the song. If you're an accompanist, this arrangement is less challenging than my favorite (Brentwood Publishing, I think). That can be a good thing or a boring thing, but the chords are good and can be used for improvisation.
