This arrangement is basically the rock and roll accompaniment to the melody which is sung by Bobby Pickett and the same as that I have seen in other sources which have the upper melody line. I would not consider this a piano solo because it is missing the melody in the right (or left) hand. But if you want to sing along while you play, it would be great for that.
