This song is an absolutely blast to play, if you like fast-paced music; if you like ragtime music, you MUST have this song in your repertoire. Playful and musically extremely interesting, with three different themes, including two wonderful mid-piece bridges. This is one of my top two favorite Billy Joel pieces for the keyboard (the other top favorite is "Just The Way You Are").

This version of Root Beer Rag is very complex and very difficult but sounds a great deal like the song. The only complaint that I have is one riff on this arrangement does not sound too much like the actual song; but it shouldnt stop you from buying it.
